The Golf R.

Motorsport optimisation – just the way you’d always hoped. The new Golf R achieves true peak performance: A 4- cylinder gasoline 2 litre FSI turbo works under the bonnet, giving the Golf 188 kW (255 hp) to play with. It needs only 5.5 seconds (with DSG) to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. It transfers this power to the streets with the newest generation of our 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The Golf R marks the peak of its class in sportiness. With 18” “Talladega” alloy wheels (also optionally available in the 19” format), the black brake calliper with R logo and the sports suspension lowered 25 mm, it has the confident appearance of a true sports car. The large rear spoiler, the shiny black diffuser, the darkened rear LED lights and chromed twin tailpipes guarantee that the vehicle’s is just as impressive from the back as from the front. The front, with its eye-catching black grille, standard LED day time driving lights and bi-xenon headlights, leaves nothing to be desired. The bumpers in motorsport look at both the front and the back complete its stylish and aggressive appearance.

The interior elements highlight the high-class positioning of the Golf R. Under the black roof console, the seats with “Kyalami” fabric upholstery with stitched R logo in the front headrests make a striking first impression. The “Vienna” leather upholstery are also optionally available for the Golf R. The 3-spoked multi-function steering wheel with R logo, stitching in “Art Grey” and black steering wheel inserts, fits perfectly into the hand – as does the leather gear knob. The “Silver Lane” decorative elements, the aluminium door sill panel trim with R logo and the stainless steel pedals give the interior a breath of elegance.
