Four-Link Front suspension

Four-Link Front suspension

This type of wheel suspension controls the wheel by four rod-type control arms and the track rod. The suspension strut supports the vehicle weight against the body via the supporting link. By separating the control elements and suspension elements, this design has great potential for optimising ride quality and kinematics. The influences of drive forces on the steering system are minimal (see also: double-wishbone suspension, multi-link rear suspension, McPherson suspension, trapezoidal-link rear suspension, torsion-beam rear suspension)
